Dream Interpretation: Sex Dreams

Lately I’ve
been having dreams about sex. Sounds great until I think of the people in the
dreams. Last night it was a mix of a friend’s husband and her friend? A mix? Do
I mean a threesome? No, not a threesome…
It started
with me at her house. I was in her room on the phone with HER and her husband
walks in. He’s in a towel looking through the dresser for something to wear.
He’s adjusting his towel and I’m getting flashes of skin. I say, “I see the gym
has been working for you”. Of course he smiles and shows me his “gains”. First
his back, then his glutes, then he turns around and shows me the rest. He started
to walk out of the room, then he stopped and turned back. At this point I was
laying on the bed. He climbed in the bed and kissed me. As we kissed and undressed,
he was suddenly someone else. That’s the mix part. No threesome. He was
suddenly someone else. Then we hear the door. She was home. I’m hopping out of the bed and thinking… how
do I hide this from her. I walk into the kitchen where she is and say hi. He’s
in the kitchen also and makes a comment to which she responds with “seriously?”
Yeah. He told her we had sex in so many words and her response was “didn’t I
tell you guys not to.” Although I don’t know the guy I actually “did the deed” with, I’m glad it wasn’t her
husband. Although I woke up wondering why the dream started the way it did. I
am not attracted to her husband.
Then I
started thinking and 4 things came to mind.
1.
Lately I’ve been having a lot of dreams about
sex. The other night I had a dream my boss was rubbing my butt. Yes! My boss! Yes!...
My butt! I won’t get into any detail on that one, but I’ll just say. There is
no attraction there either. The other dreams have been full on sex. With
different people. Not strangers... It seems I know them in the dream. I’m in a
relationship with them at the time. But it has never been the same person,
always someone different.
2.
The 1st guy in the dream did not look
like her husband. I was on the phone with her, in her house, and her husband
came in the room. But the guy in the dream did not look like her actual
husband. So, who or what does he symbolize?
3.
This is the second time I’ve had a dream about
sleeping with a friend’s husband. The 1st
one was years ago. I don’t remember the details, I just remember waking up
feeling guilty.
4.
In the past when I had sex dreams, I could never
see the face of the person I was with. For years, I could never see who I was
with until recently. (Outside of the 1st dream about a friend’s
husband). About 1.5 years ago I had a dream about this guy I was dating. This
was for one thing, the 1st time I had a sex dream about someone I
was with, and two… this was the 1st time I actually saw the face of the person I was with. What
does that mean?
When I woke
up and recalled my dream I hop online. Because… my boss???... a friend’s husband
who turns into someone else… What did this dream meaning? What message am I
supposed to be receiving? I need to figure this out, because it’s a recurring
theme which means I need to change something.
Dream Interpretation
I got online
and was glad to see the first sentence “sex dreams are rarely ever about actual
sex”. Sex dreams are about union, the coming together of different, conflicting
parts of yourself. Okay… interesting.
Then…. I
opened one of my dream interpretation books and saw “The dream of having sexual
intercourse and enjoying it portends a happy change in your love life.” This
good news! But… my boss? A friend’s husband? Hmm… Nah… this one doesn’t apply
this time around. I put that book back an opened the next one. “This relates to
sexual dreams that usually express hidden desires, or the appearance of sex can
relate to problems in this area. It is important to understand the setting or
drama surrounding the sexual element. This will give information about what is
happening with your sexual feelings and activities. Our sex dreams… show us
what growth or new challenge is being met.” Okay… I don’t know what that means.
Back to the internet.
“Generally a
dream of sex is a symbol of unity between two people, and it symbolizes the
desire to express ourselves in love. To dream of sex may also indicate
that you need to look after yourself in emotional ways that are not necessarily
sexual. You may need to put more effort into taking care of yourself or a
relationship. The dream is quite interesting in that it shows you that
real spiritual growth is taking place.”
Let’s start
with work…
Sex with a co-worker
Your dream
is either because you recently connected with that co-worker on some level or
there is something about the co-worker you need to incorporate into yourself.
Your subconscious may feel there is some quality they possess that you would be
beneficial to you if you were to take it on as your own. Think about the fact
that you are united at the workplace. Do you need to unite with them for the
sake of work?
Sex with your boss
In the case
of your boss, it is most likely power, authority, management skills, decision
making, etc. that you need to merge into your own life. It’s not about climbing
your boss’ ladder. Are you facing a tough decision? Do you need to fire or get
rid of a certain element, person or behavior in your life? Do you see
leadership abilities developing in yourself, or that you’d like to nurture
further? You may need to be more of a boss in various aspects of your life.
Look for areas in which there’s room for you to take charge more.
Sex with a faceless stranger
The mystery
lover symbolizes some aspect of yourself that you are trying to get to know and
utilize in your own life. You may be uncertain about the near future. The
faceless man represents a desire for you to be more authoritative and assertive
in your daily life.
Sex with someone else’s boyfriend/girlfriend
Indicates
you wish to be in a relationship and to experience the energy of love.
Some bonuses…
That you’re pregnant
Something in
your life is “in the works”. Something is in the growing and development phase.
Think about projects you’re working on. Do they bring you excitement? Are you
currently consumed with something in particular?
With someone of the same sex
Self-Love. Your
self-esteem is changing. You are starting to love and accept yourself as you
are, or you are incorporating aspects or your dream partner into yourself. You
are loving parts of yourself you have not loved in the past. You are starting
to love the person you are becoming.
What are you dreaming about?
