One Day We Will Understand

I wrote this in Oct after my cousin passed away. I was at home wondering why... and this was the answer I received. I posted online because I know other members of my family had the same question, and I hoped maybe this answer could help them start to understand as well. Then I read it at his funeral per my aunt's request. Sometimes we wonder “what-if?” But what is to be… shall be as it’s supposed to be. And you play the scenario over and over again in your head. If I did this…if I sad that… if it was… if it  wasn't . Life happens as it’s supposed to happen and we have to accept the pain, the disappointment, the hurt we experience in this life. The pain, the disappointment, the hurt we need to experience to grow. Or what is perceived to be the pain, the disappointment, or the hurt that is truly the relief, the end of suffering or the bringing of peace for some.  We have to absorb it… accept it… and power through it. Open Letter To: Someone I Used To Know

Dear Someone I Used To Know, I’m don't know what lesson I need to learn from your cameo appearance in this story called life.  A cameo appearance that had a larger than expected impact. You came in. You stole the show. You played an Oscar worthy role. And then you exited stage left.  I must have been rehearsing and missed a scene because I’m lost. And this is my story! At first I pressed replay over and over and over again. Watching that scene play in my mind a thousand times, trying to put it all together.  Now… I tucked it away. I don’t watch it anymore. If I haven’t gotten it by now, there’s no point in replaying it a thousand times. So… I placed it in the hands of The Most High. One day He will reveal it to me. When it is the right time, it will come to light.  Until then, I have moved on to the next scene. I have so many more scenes left to experience. I cannot get stuck on just one.
