Hello... How are you?

Hello? Is anyone one still out there?

Whew! It's has been a while.

A few years to be exact. Have you ever spent time getting your life together and come across things you used to do in your past that you completely forgotten about? Well... that was this blog for me.

Today, I was figuring out what my next move needs to be. What do I have that needs more energy from me in order for me to make it through the year. I have been in a career transition since Mar of last year (2023). It has been exciting, calm, uncertain, and filled with the unexpected. The unexpected has been both great and not-so-great. Interestingly enough, I have felt a calm feeling 90% of this journey so far. But it's a calm that both gives me confidence I am on the right path, and makes me worry a little that I am not panicking as much as part of me thinks I should. I can't explain it. However I will say, I have felt more peace than I have before.

So, what have I been up to since 2018? Ha!

Interestingly enough. Or more like very uninteresting! Much of the same. Outside of the whole covid fiasco and being locked down, while selling and buying a house. And trying to figure out what to do at work. Oh... wait! I went to Dubai in 2019. Nice little trip before all hell broke lose. Then my first post-covid trip was this year in Feb. The Bahamas! That one was a much needed mental break to get over some relationship-ish drama.

I'll just say it was an emotional roller coaster between Dec - early Feb. I won't get into any details. But when I got off the plane in the Bahamas it all melted away. Being near water is definitely a calming experience. I don't know what it is or how it works. But it works.

So if you feel you need to woo-sah... find a beach or a pool near you.

I wrote again on Monday. It was the 1st time in a while. And as I was trying to figure out where to post it, I stumbled on this blog and knew it was a sign to start writing again.

I finally  had the guts to publish a book of poems this past November. I only told one person about it. So, you're the 2nd (if you're the 1st to read this post). Link below. Show your girl some love, por favor.

Dreamgirl Daydreaming: A Girl I Used To Know

But before I added the new blog post, I thought I'd drop a line or 2 or 20 to say...

Hello... how are you?

Really... how are you? Drop me a line below.

  1. I am doing well. Like you, was in a career transition 4 years ago. It takes a little time, but you will get there. Take it one day at a time. Congratulations on publishing your book. Wishing you many book sales and much success in your career.
